Setting up Chromebook secure browser delivery as an administrator

To set up Chromebook delivery as an administrator, you must have a device registered with a Google Workspace domain (Enterprise or Education) with ChromeOS device management (Chrome Education Upgrade). For full instructions, read Setting up Chromebook secure browser delivery as an administrator.

Taking Chromebook secure browser delivery tests

To learn about the candidate’s experience starting a test on a Chromebook, which has some different steps to standard browser or internet-resilient SecureClient delivery, read Starting Chromebook delivery tests.

Tests delivered on Chromebook devices must have the Secure Browser Mode test delivery setting enabled. For more information on test delivery settings, read ‘Test delivery options’ in About test settings in the Test Wizard.

NOTE: Tests with BYOD Mode (for SecureClient) enabled require candidates to enter a code provided by an invigilator to re-enter a test closed before submission. For more information on BYOD SecureClient, read ‘Delivering tests using BYOD SecureClient’ in About Surpass test delivery options.

Once started, Chromebook delivery tests use the Surpass test driver. For more information, read the Using the Surpass test driver documentation. Candidates can only exit their test by pressing and holding the power button on their device.
