Editing grade boundaries in the Moderate (Standard) screen

In the Moderate (Standard) screen, you can edit the grade boundaries for a test form.

This article explains how to edit grade boundaries in the Moderate (Standard) screen. For more information about setting up grade boundaries for your test form in the Test Wizard, read Setting up grade boundaries in the Test Wizard.

1. Go to the Moderate (Standard) screen

To edit your test form’s grade boundaries, navigate to the Moderate (Standard) screen in Test Administration.

Select Standard on the Standard / Legacy toggle to view the Moderate (Standard) screen.

TIP: For more information about Moderate (Standard), read About the Moderate (Standard) screen.

2. Choose a script

IMPORTANT: Scripts only appear in Moderate if Requires Moderation to release results has been enabled in Test Form Details. For more information, read About test form settings.

Select the relevant script in the Moderate grid.

Select Edit Grade Boundaries to open the Edit Grade Boundaries dialog.

3. Edit the grade boundaries

IMPORTANT: Changes made to grade boundaries in Moderate do not affect the original grade boundaries set up for the test form in the Test Wizard or Test Creation.

You can adjust the existing grade boundaries in the Edit Grade Boundaries dialog. Enter a new minimum accepted value into the Pass field. You can also edit custom grade boundaries.

IMPORTANT: Above the default grade boundaries are all considered by the system to be a “Pass”, meaning if you have defined multiple custom “Fail” boundaries they may still appear as a “Pass” in Test AdministrationReporting, and to candidates as part of end of test feedback.

Select Check to view the total number of tests affected by the new grade boundaries.
