About Zero Marked Codes settings

The Zero Marked Codes section of Site Settings lets you enable and create alphabetical codes that markers can assign to responses they are awarding a mark of zero. To learn how zero marked codes are assigned to responses, read ‘Assigning Zero Marked Codes’ in Marking responses in SecureMarker.

To set up zero marked codes, select Zero Marked Codes Enabled.

Use Add New Code to add your zero marked codes, up to 10 active codes.

Zero marked codes must have a unique Code (made up of up to three capitalised alphabetic characters) and corresponding Reasoning. Select Save Changes to create your zero marked codes.

NOTE: Once saved, a Code cannot be edited, but its Reasoning can. Zero marked codes can be retired, but not permanently deleted.

To retire a zero marked code, select Retire Code .

Retired codes cannot be assigned to responses. Any zero marked codes assigned to a response before being retired, remain on the response.
