Item Authoring

The Item Authoring section of Surpass is where you create and organise your content for tests. In Surpass, question and non-question test pages are known as “items”.

This page gives an overview of the Item Authoring API v2 section of the Surpass Help Site.

Using the Item Authoring APIs, you can create, read, update, and delete items, item lists, and media in Surpass.

• BasicPage API – The BasicPage API resource is used to retrieve, create, and update Introduction Pages, Information Pages, and Finish Pages.
• Folder API – The Folder API resource is used to list, retrieve, create, and update folders.
• Item API – The Item API resource is used to list, retrieve, create, update, and delete question and survey items.
• ItemList API – The ItemList API resource is used to list, retrieve, create, update, and delete item lists.
• ItemSet API – The ItemSet API resource is used to list, retrieve, create, update, and delete item sets.
• ItemTagValue API – The ItemTagValue API is used to retrieve, assign, and delete item and tag value associations.
• LanguageVariant API – The LanguageVariant API is used to retrieve, create, update, and delete item language variants.
• Media API – The Media API resource is used to retrieve and upload media.
• MediaGroup API – The MediaGroup API resource is used to retrieve, create, and update media groups.
