Navigating source material with a keyboard in the test driver
Source material are files that the candidate needs to refer to when answering a question. Some candidates with disabilities rely on keyboards to navigate source material associated with their tests. In the Surpass test driver, candidates with accessibility requirements can use the keyboard to navigate source material. For more information, read About source material.

General keyboard shortcuts
These keyboard shortcuts apply across all areas of the test driver.

Opening source material
To open source material in a test, select Tab to focus the button and then use Enter/Space.
Moving source material
When the source material popup has focus you can move it around the screen with the arrow keys (← ↑ ↓ →) and alter its size and shape with Ctrl + ← ↑ ↓ →.
Closing source material
Source material can be closed via the close button or pressing Esc when it has focus. When multiple source material items are in use, they are usually the last tab stops on the page.
Specific keyboard shortcuts
These keyboard shortcuts apply to certain source materials. These are in addition to the general shortcuts listed above.
HTML source material
HTML source material is source material created in Surpass. This eliminates the need for third-party apps like PDF viewers when creating source material for candidates.

URL source material lets candidates access specific web pages during a test. It allows the user to provide controlled internet access when candidates sit a test in locked-down SecureClient.
