The above test has been carried out by the Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC). The DAC audit process comprises three strands of testing:

  1. Automated testing (where appropriate)
  2. Expert Review (technical compliance)
  3. User testing (disabled end-to-end experience) by a minimum of 7 of DAC’s in-house disabled testers, some using assistive technologies such as:
    1. JAWS screen reader
    2. Dragon voice activation software
    3. ZoomText magnification
    4. Keyboard only

Users with disabilities who do not require assistive software such as those with dyslexia, colour blindness, anxiety/panic disorder.

The Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach was used to decide on a sample of pages to test.

Accessibility fixes going into the product are tested by DAC on an ongoing basis.
