Best practices
When using assistive technology, refer to the following guidance for best results:
- Start any assistive technology before launching the test and confirm it is functioning correctly.
- Make sure to install any extra plugins required for compatibility (such as Math Player 4 for NVDA users accessing MathML content).
- Check all hardware, such as headphones or microphones, to ensure they are working as expected.
- Adjust software settings prior to the test, including speech rate, magnification levels, or voice profiles.
- Close unnecessary applications to prevent focus changes, audio interruptions, or performance issues.
