grade boundary

A grade boundary is the minimum threshold at which a grade can be achieved. In Surpass, you can create up to ten custom grade boundaries for your test form (for example, “Fail”, “Pass”, “Merit”, “Distinction”). Grade boundaries can be defined on either percentages or numerical scores.
