About the SecureClient Admin Console

IMPORTANT: You must have the Invigilate and Admin Console permissions to use the SecureClient Admin Console. The SecureClient Admin Console can only be accessed on SecureClient for Windows.

The SecureClient Admin Console is where users can download tests to multiple devices in advance of a test session. If a test has been taken offline, users can manually upload the test to the server in preparation for marking.

This article explains what the SecureClient Admin Console is and how to use its features, including how to add your instance of Surpass to the SecureClient Admin Console.

Downloading tests

You can download tests in advance for candidates to take either offline or online. You can only download tests at the Ready or Scheduled (locked) states.

Select Download in the Invigilate screen pop-up to download a test.

Tests successfully downloaded are displayed as Downloaded to SecureClient.

Changing test distribution methods

All downloaded tests can be taken either online or offline. However, tests downloaded using the offline distribution method contain greater levels of encryption to minimise security risks, allowing you to transport test data between machines or to areas without internet connection.

NOTE: If you would like the offline distribution method enabled on your SecureClient instance, speak to your Surpass Account Manager.

Logging out

Select Logout to exit the SecureClient Admin Console and return to the SecureAssess dialog.
